Alternative Title
Priscilla plans to studty law in spite of phenomenal voice
Description
This article profiles a musically talented Black female student named, Priscilla Dean. The article describes her singing voice as "powerful, husky…along the line of Mahalia Jackson's" and notes that she was a top ten contestant in the recent Miss MSU pageant. When encouraged to pursue a career in singing, Dean responded that she couldn't depend on it and intends to pursue a career in corporate law instead, though she did state that she intended to spend the summer near Motown Records in Memphis to "put into trying to get started singing only as much as it's given [her] so far."
