This pamphlet is Ulysses Grant's report at the Army Headquarters in Washington, D. C. on July 22, 1865 detailing the operations of the armies of the United States from the date of his appointment to command the same. A portrait of Grant with a depiction of his signature is included on the page before the title page. The outer cover is dark purple.
