About This Journal
Emancipations is an open access journal of critical social analysis, publishing three issues per year. The journal features peer-reviewed scholarly research articles, as well as shorter commentaries and book reviews. Emancipations recognizes that, just as oppression takes many forms, so too do their modes of overcoming. Given this, we are not committed to any one political or theoretical tradition, and will publish any work that critically analyzes capitalism, broadly construed, and that meets the journal's standards for publication. We do not charge authors publishing fees and our open access format make this scholarship freely available to readers -- whether academics or otherwise -- throughout the world. Emancipations does not accept advertising requests.
