Description
The medal's obverse features a design after Lloyd Ostendorf's original artwork that depicts Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg Address. On the reverse, a short excerpt from the Gettysburg Address appears. A laurel wreath borders the lower half of the medal. The medal is mounted in a leather slipcase album, which is Volume II of a two-volume set. (Volume I is a short work entitled Abraham Lincoln: An Autobiographical Narrative, written and edited by Ralph Geoffrey Newman.)
