Description
The medal's obverse design depicts an image of Abraham Lincoln from the neck up with his head bowed. To the right, Lincoln is shown standing before two kneeling figures who have their wrists shackled. On the reverse, Confederate and United States flags are pictured intersecting at the top of the medal. Several rifles appear behind the flags, and the image of an eagle is placed at the center of the intersection. At the medal's bottom, a decorative border lines the edge.
