Description

Color bookplate from unidentified volume: ""Battle of Spotsylvania..."" Copyright 1887, by L. Prang, Boston. After a painting by Thulstrup. In the foreground of the image, Confederate soldiers are depicted aiming weapons at approaching Union troops. There are several depictions of wounded soldiers, both Union and Confederate. In the center of the image, Union troops are depicted over running the Confederate forces. An American flag in is depicted waving. In the background of the image, additional flags and troops are depicted.
