Description
This handwritten letter, dated September 16, 1869, is written from P. W. Babcock to Peleg Clarke Jr. requesting a payment draft of thirty-five dollars to pay interest on a note Clarke holds against Oliver Davis. The letter also acknowledges Davis's carelessness in not paying for the interest earlier. The letter also informs Clarke of Davis's current illness of "remittent fever."
