Description
This black and white illustration is of Robert Anderson, a United States Army officer during the American Civil War. Anderson is depicted as wearing a dark double breasted military uniform with a white collar and shoulder boards with a single star in the center. "Eng. by J. C. Buttre" is along the bottom edge of the illustration and Anderson's signature is depicted below the illustration with "Brig. Gen. Robert Anderson" captioned beneath the signature. The illustration is within volume three of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
