Forsyth is depicted wearing a dark suit and tie with a white shirt. The illustration on the right is of Martin J. Crawford, an antebellum U.S. Representative and a representative to the Provisional Confederate Congress during the American Civil War from the state of Georgia. Crawford is depicted as wearing a dark suit, vest and tie with a white shirt. Their names are captioned beneath their respective illustrations. The illustrations are within volume three of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
