This is a black and white illustration of a map of Charleston Harbor and Vicinity. The Charleston Harbor is an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean at Charleston, South Carolina, formed by the junction of Ashley and Cooper rivers. The illustration shows Mount Pleasant, Frt. Sumter, Cummings Point, James Island, Charleston, and the main ship channel. This illustration is from volume four of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
