Description
This black and white illustration is a map depicting the positions of troops during the Battle of Bentonville in North Carolina on March 19, 1865 during the American Civil War. Sherman, Slocum, Hardee and Johnston sections are indicated along with various cavalries and enemy positions. The illustration is on page 236 of volume nine of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
