Description

This handwritten deed, dated February 11, 1822, wherein Robert Burdick has sold a plot of land in Washington County, Rhode Island to Simeon Adam for one hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The deed describes the land purchased and is signed by Robert and Sarah Burdick. Phebe Burdick and Samuel Stanton signed as witnesses. The second page includes the statement of witness by Samuel Stanton, Justice of the Peace. A record of the sale is noted by Samuel Stanton on February 11, 1822 on the back of the deed and notes that the deed was filed in the town clerk's office in at 5 o'clock pm.
