Description
This black and white photograph is of Ward Hill Lamon. Lamon is shown wearing a dark suit, vest and tie a white shirt. He is standing beside a table with one hand resting on a book on the table and his other hand tucked inside his coat pocket. A typed caption on the bottom right corner of the photograph reads "Ward Hill Lamon--Born 1828: Died 1893. Taken by Brady, 1828. Was Lincoln's Law partner in the 1850's in Danville and was Lincoln's Bodyguard 1860-1865.
