Description

This pamphlet contains two speeches. One speech is given by Reverend Dr. Hawley and the other is given by Secretary Seward. Rev. Dr. Hawley introduces Secretary Seward, and Seward discusses the faults and virtues of the Democratic and Republican parties on the eve of Grant's election to the presidency. The cover of the pamphlet provides the title over six lines of evenly spaced text, and a narrow line divides the title information from the publishing information listed along the bottom of the cover.
