From the interior "Explanatory": "This pamphlet consists of an article entirlted, "Counties of illinois" extracted from the Illinois Blue Book of 1905 and amended to date. The exact language of statues and proclomations has been quoted except in some instances where, to economize space, abridgementst have seemed advisable: but no abridgement has been allowed to alter or obscure the meaning of the original.
