Description

This pamphlet includes speeches, lectures, letters, debates, and addresses made by Abraham Lincoln throughout his career. The most notable inclusions are the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address. The pamphlet is indexed. A facsimile of the manuscript containing the celebrated ""Bixby"" letter appears at the end, depicting Lincoln's handwriting and signature. A portrait of Lincoln with John G. Nicolay and John Hay appears at the beginning of the pamphlet. This pamphlet is the biographical edition, being the second printing from the plates of the celebrated Gettysburg edition, Francis D. Tandy Co. N.B.-The Gettysburg edition was strictly limited to 1,000 copies.
