Description
This pamphlet is a reprint from plates of American Patriotism : speeches, letters and other papers which illustrate the foundation, the development and the preservation of the United States of America by Selim H. Peabody, New York, 1881. Included are selected speeches from the debate with Douglas at Independence Hall, Philadelphia, Feb. 21, 1861, the first inaugural address on March 4, 1861, Emancipation Proclamation in Washington, Jan. 1, 1863, speech at Gettysburg on Nov. 19, 1863 and the second inaugural Address on March 4, 1865.
