Description

The stereograph contains a black and white image of Sears, Roebuck & Co.'s General Correspondence Department, which served to respond to customer correspondence. The image shows numerous employees (a mix of men and women) sitting at rows of desks writing letters in a large room featuring high ceilings and large columns. The image is adhered to a cream-colored paper card mount, and the card's reverse contains additional documentary information.
