Description
The platinum print depicts a portrait image of Abraham Lincoln, taken by Alexander Hesler on 3 June 1860 in Springfield, Illinois. In 1881, George b. Ayers created the platinum print from the image's negative. The print's reverse has been signed by Ayers. [Ref: O-26.]
