1- Late last week, the House passed legislation to strengthen the President?╟╓s line item veto authority, did you support that effort?; 2- In the past, Presidents were forced to veto entire appropriations bills in order to kill a few wasteful projects buried in those bills. This new authority, if approved by the Senate and signed into law, would allow future Presidents to cut out more was, wouldn?╟╓t it?; 3- The House Veterans Affairs committee will consider your legislation to compensate Persian Gulf War veterans suffering from still undiagnosed illnesses. Is the bill still on a fast track?
