Description

1- The House passed your legislation this week that provides compensation for Persian Gulf veterans suffering from still undiagnosed illnesses. What are the details on this?; 2- The house also approved legislation to provide a cost of living adjustment for service connected veterans. What was the COLA and when is it effective? 3% COLA Effective December 1. ; 3- The Senate acted last week on legislation to direct the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to abandon plans to impose religious harassment guidelines in the workplace. The House has already taken similar action. You and others were concerned that the EEOC would impose rules that would prohibit Americans from making or having any references to religion in the workplace, such as wearing a cross or having bibles on their desks.
