1- With the change in leadership in the House and Senate, there is talk that defense spending could be increased over the next couple of years. What is your reaction to that?; 2- With the Republicans taking over the House, you will no longer be chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee. Will you seek to become the ranking member of the committee and how will that affect the administration of veterans care in Mississippi?; 3- The same situation applies on the Armed Services Committee with the change in leadership. Will you seek to retain your ranking position and seniority on the Personnel and Military Construction subcommittees?
