1- Sir, during the recent floor debate on the Military Construction Package, you spoke on the amount allotted to the Army National Guard. Will you tell us what was said? *Guard gets 3 % while doing 40% of mission. There is a need for more funding.; 2- The VA medical facilities construction bill was brought to the U.S. House of Representatives this week. What were some of the points of this bill? *$434 million for 27 facilities *Allows for non-profit research *Renames 3 after congressmen (Jackson MS facility after Sonny Montgomery); 3- The town of Bay Springs has been awarded a federal grant for a new goat meat processing plant. What is expected to use this facility? *RECD grant is $490,000 *Used to construct 3 facilities *It will service Claiborne, Copiah, Jasper, Jefferson, Simpson, and Smith counties *Group has identified 30 potential markets for the product.
