1- During the August recess you released figures showing that the Pentagon planned to eliminate 24 National Guard units across the State of Mississippi. It is part of a plan to reduce reserve component strength levels throughout the military. What will be the reaction in Congress?; 2- You have made the point that since it costs less to operate a National Guard unit or Reserve unit that an Active one, we should be increasing reliance on the reserve components, not cutting. Is that still a valid argument?; 3- During the August recess, you went on the annual Tenn-Tom Waterway inspection tour. How were things on the Tenn-Tom?;
