Description

1- Much of the proposed strength level cuts to the National Guard and Reserve were restored in a agreement worked out on the Defense Authorization Bill for the fiscal year 1993. How will Mississippi Guard and Reserve units be affected?; 2- National Guardsmen in five central Mississippi communities: Newton, Forest, Decatur, Morton, and Bay Springs, will have a new mission, beginning in mid-1994. What will this mean for the future of these units?; 3- The House approved legislation to direct$16 million to build a veterans service complex in Jackson. What are the details on this?;
