Description

This interview is with Frank E. Smith of Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Smith worked in John C. Stennis' campaign for the Senate in 1947, and later, while also serving as a member of the Mississippi Senate, worked on Stennis' Washington staff. Mr. Smith served in the United States House of Representatives from 1951 to 1963. After leaving Congress, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority. Mr. Smith was allowed to review the transcript for accuracy.
