Description

Senator John C. Stennis in unidentified location visiting 1st Cavalry Division and collecting home addresses from two 1st Battle Group, 7th Cavalry sergeants following lunch at Company C. The Cavalry Men are (l-r) Sgt. Paul L. Woods, son of Mr. and Mrs. WB Woods, Mount Olive, MS and husband of Randa, Mize, MS and SFC Dennis Massey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Massey, Lucedale, MS and husband of Joyce, Thomaston, GA. The senator visited all facilities of Charlie Company and had lunch with officers and enlisted men of the company. Maj. Gen. Charles E. Beauchamp, 1st Cavalry Div. Commanding officer, escorted the senator while he was in the division area.
