Senator John Stennis, left, and MS National Forest Supervisor E.R. DeSilva, right, stand beside the cypress log marker with plaque erected at the W.W. Ashe Nursery near Brooklyn, MS in honor of Mr. W.W. Ashe, pioneer botanist. The trees surrounding this monument were each planted by a separate individual attending the dedication ceremonies of this monument in 1936.
