Description

Six pages of original court documents from the State v. Jacob case dating 1843. The case was heard in the State of Mississippi Lowndes County Circuit Court.

Transcription

The State of Mississippi, Lowndes County, charged an ensalved person, Jacob, with burglary. The State asserted that Jacob broke into and entered the home of Alexander B. Thompson on September 6, 1843 at 11 o'clock in the evening.
