Description
This handwritten letter, dated December 25, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter wishes her a Merry Christmas, describes the dreary muddy Christmas morning he has had and describes how much he wishes he were with her and their baby for Christmas. The letter goes on to describe his thoughts on how the war is progressing and what it is like to be on the front. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service A. P. O., December 27, 1943.
