Description
This handwritten letter, dated December 27, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter reminds her that his birthday is coming up soon and what he wished he could do. The letter goes on to express how he wishes his time on the front would hurry and be over, his thoughts on the continuation of the war and the politics involved, how hard the war is in Italy and his thoughts on the army. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service, A. P. O., December 29, 1943.
