Description

This handwritten letter, dated January 4, 1944, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter discusses the meals around the encampment, a bill that is before congress that would provide some financial assistance, and his hopes for his son's future. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service A. P. O., January 9, 1944.
