Description

This handwritten letter, dated January 6, 1944, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter describes the artillery and gunshots near him and a visit with a friend who is stationed nearby. The letter goes on to describe his dreams of being at home and his plans for then when he returns. The second page of the letter is damaged on the top half. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service A. P. O., January 8, 1944.
