Description

This handwritten letter, dated July 31, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong at Camp Gruber, Oklahoma where he is stationed, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter discusses his impending deployment overseas and addresses her fears and questions. The letter goes on to reassure her that her finances will be covered and not to worry. He advises her to go to Long Beach after the baby is born. The envelope is postmarked Camp Gruber, Oklahoma, July 31, 1943.
