Description
This handwritten letter, dated September 4, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in North Africa to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter describes his experience exploring the town near his camp, the people there, and the other towns and places he has explored. The letter goes on to enquire after her. The letter is written on United States Army stationary with the eagle and shield logo in the top center. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army A. P. O. 1943. The month and day of the postmark are not visible.
