Description

This handwritten letter, dated October 17, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in North Africa, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter discusses his experiences in the area where he is stationed and asks after her health and living situation. The letter is written on United States Army stationary with the eagle and shield logo in the top center. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Services A. P. O., October 18, 1943. "Passed by US Army Base Examiner" is ink stamped in the lower left corner with Rollin S. Armstrong's signature near it.
