Description

This handwritten letter, dated October 20, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in North Africa, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter describes the scenery where he is stationed, one of the nearby battlefields, and news of a friend who is stationed in India. The letter is written on United States Army stationary with the eagle and shield logo in the top center. The envelop is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Services A. P. O., October 21, 1943 and the lower left corner has been ripped off.
