Description
This handwritten letter, dated December 28, 1943, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. in Lexington, Virginia where he is stationed for training to his mother, Catherine F. Bogan in West Point, Mississippi. The letter thanks his mom for all the gifts and goodies she sent him for Christmas and discusses the gifts he got from other people. The letter goes on to describe who he's seen recently and how he spent his Christmas. The letter is written on United States Army stationary with an eagle emblem in the top center. The envelope is postmarked Lexington, Virginia, December 30, 1943 and "Free" is handwritten in the space typically reserved for the postage stamp.
