Description
This Mother's Day card includes a handwritten note at the bottom of the interior written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. at Camp Shelby where he is stationed to his mother, Catherine F. Bogan in West Point, Mississippi. The front cover of the card is a group of flowers and trees surrounding a brick path leading to a small cottage. The image is outlined with blue and a small blue ribbon is tied at the bottom of the image. The image on the back of the card's cover is a bouquet of flowers. The envelope is postmarked Camp Shelby, Mississippi, May 5, 1943 and "free" is handwritten in the space typically reserved for the postage stamp.
