Description
This handwritten letter, dated August 1, 1943, is written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. at Washington and Lee University, where he is stationed, to his mother, Catherine F. Bogan in West Point, Mississippi. The letter describes the activities he's been doing to keep busy, the church he attended, and the correspondence he's received. The letter goes on to discuss what he needs and he mentions a rumor that Melvyn Douglas, the actor, is in the S. S. School at Washington and Lee University. The letter is signed from "Buddy" and does not include an envelope.
