Description

This handwritten letter, dated August 7, 1943, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. at Washington and Lee University where he is stationed for military training to his father, W. N. Bogan, Sr. in Memphis, Tennessee. The letter describes his excitement for training to begin, his interactions with the Episcopal minister, what his roommate is like. The letter goes on to discuss his hope that his parents can come visit him and who he has been spending time with. The letter is signed, "All my love, Buddy" and does not include an envelope.
