Description
This handwritten letter, dated August 11, 1943, is written from W. N. Bogan at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where he is stationed for military training to his sister, Kay Bogan, in West Point, Mississippi. The letter responds to some of her questions about his status and describes what his classes and daily schedule are like, what some of the other guys are like and some of the people he's met. The letter goes on to discuss the church he's attending, and shares some news with her. The letter is signed "All my love, Son." The envelope is postmarked Lexington, VA, August 12, 1943 and the postage is designated as free.
