Description
This handwritten letter, dated January 3, 1943, is written from W. N. Bogan at Washington and Lee in Lexington, Virginia to his mother, Catherine F, Bogan in West Point. The letter apologizes for not having written sooner and expresses his regret that he hasn't sent thank you cards for the gifts he received. The letter goes on to thank her for the birthday gift she sent him. The letter is signed, Devotedly Buddy." The envelope is postmarked Lexington, Virginia, January 4, 1944 and the postage is designated as "free."
