Description
This postcard is written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. at Camp Butner in North Carolina to his mother, Catherine F. Bogan in West Point, Mississippi. The note apologizes for the image on the card and asks her to send him a book he had shipped with his things upon leaving Washington and Lee University. The image on the front of the card is of a man in a car being questioned by a man at the gas pump. The text reads "Okay Buddy--Where's that ration card?" The card is postmarked Camp Butner, North Carolina, April 27, 1944 and the postage is designated as "free."
