Description
This handwritten letter, dated January 28, 1945, is written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. where he is stationed in France to his parents, W. N., Sr. and Catherine F. Bogan, in West Point. The letter describes how he managed to break his fountain pen and how he hopes he can get it fixed. The letter goes on to discuss news he's heard from men he trained with in Virginia and describe what his living situations are currently. The letter concludes with how homesick he is and is signed "All my love, Buddy." The Air Mail envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service, January 31, 1945 and includes a red six cent postage stamp in the upper right corner. An army examiner ink stamp is in the lower left with a signature below it.
