Description
This handwritten letter, dated December 2, 1942, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. at State College in Starkville, Mississippi to his parents in West Point, Mississippi. The letter expresses his disappointment at not having been able to go home the previous weekend and discusses the rumors going around about the upcoming campus holiday plans. The letter goes on to describe his activities and discusses his thoughts on the draft situation and how it might affect his education. The letter is written on Homer B Hicks, Jr. Mississippi State College, State College stationary. The envelope is postmarked State College, Mississippi, December 7, 1942 and bears a purple three cent postage stamp in the upper right corner.
