Description
This handwritten letter, dated April 18, 1945, is written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. where he is stationed in Germany to his parents, W. N., Sr. and Catherine F. Bogan, in West Point, Mississippi. The letter acknowledges all the mail he'd finally received from them and speculates that the inspector must have lost the French money from a letter he'd sent them. The letter goes on to discuss news from home. A purple postmark for West Point, Mississippi, May 29, 1945 is in the center of the last page. The letter is signed "All my love to everyone, Buddy." The air mail envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service A. P. O., April 20, 1945 and a red six cent air mail postage stamp is in the upper right. An Army examiner ink stamp is in the lower left with a signature beneath it.
