Description

This handwritten letter, dated June 2, 1943, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. in St. Petersburg, Florida where he is stationed for training to his father in Memphis, Tennessee. The letter describes his training and experience at the rifle range, other training activities, and speculates that he will not be in St. Petersburg much longer. The letter is written on U. S. Army Air Force stationary with a set of blue wings in the top center of the page. The envelope is postmarked Saint Petersburg, Florida, June 3, 1943 and "Free" is handwritten in the area typically reserved for the postage stamp.
