Description
This receipt documents the payment of a one year subscription for Thomas Darden to the Fayette Chronicle, published by Paddock and Cully. The subscription covers a one year subscription for volume 5, number 1 to volume 6, number 1 for a cost of three dollars. The payment was received on December 10, 1869 by Paddock and Culley, proprietors. The left edge of the receipt names the newspaper and notifies the price of the subscription at four dollars per annum, payable in advance. The text describes "Job work neatly and expeditiously executed."
