Description
This receipt, dated December 1869, is for printing funeral notices in the Fayette Chronicle, Paddock and Culley Proprietors, for a cost of ten dollars. The printing service was purchased by Thomas L. Darden. The left edge of the receipt names the newspaper and notifies the price of the subscription at four dollars per annum, payable in advance. The text describes "Job work neatly and expeditiously executed." There is some light water and mildew damage on the left end of the receipt and the right edge of the receipt is ripped.
